Configuration

Under Stores > Configuration, admin can configure the default settings of the images to be displayed in the frontend as per the requirements.

Advanced Custom Options Suite

  • Maximum Image Upload size: This field enables the admin to specify the maximum size(MB) of the image which he can upload for the custom options.
  • Image Width: This field enables the admin to specify the width of the thumbnail image.
  • Image Height: This field enables the admin to specify the height of the thumbnail image.

Custom Options Image Tooltip

  • Enable: This field allows the admin to enable or disable the Custom Option Image Tooltip.
  • Tooltip Image Width: This field enables the admin to specify the width of the tooltip.
  • Tooltip Image Height: This field enables the admin to specify the height of the tooltip.
  • Require Detailed image as tooltip image: This option enables the admin to upload a different image for the tooltip.
    In this option,
    If Yes is set and detailed image is uploaded, the detailed image appears,
    If Yes is set and no detailed image is uploaded, no tooltip appears.
    If No is set and detailed image is uploaded, the detailed image appears.
    If No is set and no detailed image is uploaded, the thumbnail image appears in the tooltip.

Custom Options Image Popup

  • Enable: This field allows the admin to enable or disable the Custom Option Image Popup.
  • Require Detailed image as the pop-up image: This option enables the admin to upload a different image for the Popup.
    In this option, 
    If Yes is set and detailed image is uploaded, the detailed image appears,
    If Yes is set and no detailed image is uploaded, no popup appears.
    If No is set and detailed image is uploaded, the detailed image appears.
    If No is set and no detailed image is uploaded, the thumbnail image appears in the tooltip.

Custom Options Change Main Image

  • Enable: This field allows the admin to enable or disable the Custom Option Main Image Change functionality.
  • Base Image Change On: This option enables the admin to decide whether the main image will change by hovering or clicking on the custom option.
  • Require Detailed image as the change main image: This option enables the admin to upload a different image to replace the product main image.
    In this option,
    If Yes is set and detailed image is uploaded, the detailed image appears,
    If Yes is set and no detailed image is uploaded, the main image will be not be updated.
    If No is set and detailed image is uploaded, the detailed image appears.
    If No is set and no detailed image is uploaded, the thumbnail image appears as the main image.

Manage Custom Options

Under Catalog > Manage Custom Option, the admin can add, edit and manage all the custom options for the online store.

For adding a custom option, admin can click on ‘Add New Option’.

The admin can set the custom option title, specify the SKU, select the input type and specify the sort order.

To set the dependency relation, the admin has to create multiple custom options in any product. In the 'Child SKU' field of the custom option which is to behave as a parent custom option, the admin needs to specify the main 'SKU' of the second custom option which is to behave as the child of the first custom option. So the second option will behave as a child of the first custom option.

If the admin wants the customers to mandatorily select a value from a particular custom option, admin can check the ‘Required’ checkbox.

To update any changes made in the custom options, check the ‘Update in existing product(s)’ option and these changes will apply to all the products on your store in which the option is already assigned to.

For any custom option enabled, the admin can upload a different image or display a related color in the thumbnail by selecting the display mode.

The admin can also set a particular custom option as a default custom option by checking the ‘Is Default?’ checkbox. That option will remain selected automatically when the page loads.

After creating the custom option, the admin needs to assign the same to the products or categories. There are multiple ways to do that.

Under Catalog > Manage Custom Option, the list of custom options created, appears. Along with that appear the options to assign or remove the custom options to products and categories.

Admin can assign that custom option to multiple products by clicking on ‘Assign to Product / Remove from Product’ and select the products to which that custom option is to be assigned.

To assign or remove custom options category wise, admin can click on ‘Assign to Category/ Remove from Category’ and select the categories to which that custom option is to be assigned.

Admin can also assign that custom option to multiple products by clicking on ‘Assign to product / Remove From Product' and specify the SKU’s of the product to which that particular custom option is to be assigned.

Assign/Remove Multiple Custom Options To Products

To assign/remove multiple custom options to the product(s), go to Catalog > Assign/remove multiple custom options to the product(s) and specify the product SKU’s separated by a comma. Then, select the custom options to be assigned to or removed from those products and then click on assign or remove.

Assign/Remove Multiple Custom Options For Selected Products

To assign/remove multiple custom options to the selected product(s), go to Catalog > Assign/remove multiple custom options for selected products, click on a product and then select the custom options which are to be assigned to that product. The admin can then save it.

Note for Enterprise edition

The extension is compatible with the 'Schedule New Updates' functionality of the Magento Enterprise edition. So, whenever you schedule a new product update, you can use all the features of the extension.
